Science Tech & Culture
ABOUT
Here at Renaissance, we believe humanity is on the brink of creating a new world. A world of higher-order thinking and technology that we’ve barely been able to imagine so far. That is what’s to come, but today we talk about science, technology and culture leading up to it, sharing whatever we learn from the past/present/future, as we conjure what the new world could be. And hope to understand this, meaning of life and love. A question that shall forever stand, or so it seems.
And a little about Moi:
I am amazed by everything that it is to be human, from something as basic and fundamental as balancing on our feet or on bicycles or motorcycles to mastering those concepts of physics to construct buildings piercing through the atmosphere. The very notion of being human is a wondrous one. We take it for granted through so many layers of abstraction. In the little time that we’ve been alive, we consume the knowledge of the universe available to us. In the few centuries that we’ve been investigating, we’ve accessed quite a bit of it. I can only imagine what the future of humanity holds. I can only imagine, if we did find the secrets of the universe, come face to face with it - how would we react? Today’s society wouldn’t stand, of course. But what would that future look like? Would we lose our minds even before we face it? Or would we evolve or will the universe implode the day we’re supposed to come face to face with its innermost secrets?
These are the things that I think about. These are the things that make my heart beat.
I have no qualifications to be thinking about any of this, i.e., I’m not a physicist. I’m not a philosopher. But like I said, to be human - it’s wondrous.
Oh, and my name is Vishruthaa, hence the domain.
